There are several Highlights throughout the Church Year, which are celebrated specially in All Saints.

  • Christingle
  • Christmas - The unique event that changed the world, when Jesus, son of God, was born.
  • Ash Wednesday - The 7th Wednesday before Easter; the first day of Lent
  • Good Friday - is acknowledged in Christianity as the Friday during Holy Week, the day that the Church designates as the anniversary of the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ. The service that is celebrated on this day includes the climactic adoration of the Cross.
  • Easter - The resurrection of Jesus, the Christ
  • Pentecost - also called Whitsun, seventh Sunday after Easter; commemorates the emanation of the Holy Spirit to the Apostles
  • Corpus Christi - Thursday after Trinity Sunday
  • Assumption - on the Sunday nearest to the 15th August is a distingtive service of All Saints to recognise the unique role that the virgin Mary played in God's plan of salvation
  • All Saints' Day
  • "Christ the King" - a service to display the unity of all churches of the Parish of Southend is celebrated on the Sunday before Advent.
